Two weekends ago I had the privileged of being invited to the HCS LAN. Presented by Hatfield Christian School, at Hatfield Christian Church's Young Peoples Facility. The venue was huge and more than sufficient, definitely trumped the garage or two I've played in before.
It was there first LAN event, and so it was a small one. It hosted a tournament on the popular Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare game. Because it was a closed event it was by invite only. Four Clans partook in the Tournament, there where 2 rounds. Round 1 was the ever popular TDM (Team Death Match) and the Round 2 was S&D (Search and Destroy). As in all tournaments there can be only one, as there was, rising to the challenge the winning Clan (All the Clans were seemingly nameless) won all their matches in round 2 and then2 of their 3 matches in Round 1.
It was a cute LAN, with the potential for growth it gets a P.E.G.S. rating of 6.5! Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open for the HCS-LAN.

Frozen Blades and Heated Metal was our last LAN event. We where hoping to launch our first Tournament at the Event however our sponsorship fell through at the last minute. The games we focused on where COD4: Modern Warfare; DotA and Heroes of Newearth. looking towards the future we would like to implement a Strategy Games tournament, just to be a abit old school. keep checking this Blog for more news on LAN's taking place in PTA East.
